CSIR NET Notification 2024, Check Registration Form Last Date Extended, Eligibility Criteria, Important Details, and Apply Online: A formal notification inviting prospective applicants to take the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test (CSIR NET) was recently released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates’ eligibility for junior research fellowships and appointments as assistant professors at Indian universities and colleges is determined by the results of this test.

The application link is operational as of May 1. The deadline for submitting a completed application form is moved from May 21 to May 27, 2024. During this period, candidates must register in order to eliminate the last-minute rush.

The CSIR UGC NET is conducted by the organization twice a year, between June and December. This online test, which has 225 test centers, is countrywide in scope. To choose the qualified applicants, the agency will administer a Computer-Based Test (CBT) during the final week of June.

The computer-based test will be administered by the testing agency on June 25, 26, and 27, 2024. Candidates may only apply online during the designated period for the CSISR NET June 2024 through the official website, csirnet.nta.ac. Candidates should confirm the eligibility requirements, age limit, registration fee, and other pertinent registration data before submitting an application.

CSIR UGC NET Eligibility Requirements

Educational Qualifications

Applicants are qualified to take this test provided they have earned at least 55% of the possible points in a Master’s degree or an equivalent exam from an accredited university or institution. Candidates who have obtained at least 50% (without rounding off) in a Master’s degree or equivalent examination, as well as those from Non-Creamy Layer, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disability (PwD), and Third Gender category, are eligible to take the test.

Age Limit

The candidates’ age cannot exceed thirty years old on the first day of the month in which the exam is finished, which is June 2024. Candidates who fall into one of the following categories: OBC, SC, ST, PwD, third gender, or women are eligible for a maximum 5-year relaxation.

To apply for this exam, candidates can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the csirnet.nta.ac.in website.
  2. Click the “Joint CSIR NET June 2024: Click Here to Register/Login” link on the homepage.
  3. Navigate to the “New Registration” tab after clicking the link.
  4. The screen will open to a new page requiring login and identification in order to submit the application online.
  5. Select the identity proofs to create a User ID or Password.
  6. Now, follow the steps and submit the application form by ensuring the details are accurate or complete.
  7. Pay the registration fee online.
  8. Take a printout of the registration form for further processing.
